recipe: buttermilk tomato salad

Summer means tomato season and tomato season means I try new recipes with tomatoes almost daily. I spotted this recipe in my June Food Network magazine and I knew I had to try. 
Buttermilk? Cherry tomatoes? Basil?

It takes all of five minutes and is so tasty! And even better the next day if you have leftovers. This will surely be a staple in our household.

oh yum! i need to have buttermilk on hand more often, i see it used in so many everyday food recipes.

i am crazy for tomatoes (after hating them for 30+ years, i finally came around to them and now i can't get enough of them)!!!!

right now i am eating a red pepper and tomato gazpacho. it is so delicious!!! and this recipe looks delicious, too!!!

ooohhhh i love tomatoes and basil. but, i'll admit, the buttermilk is new to me. i'll have to give it a shot!
