This past weekend Guy and I had our first party at our new home and it was a crazy success! We knew immediately we wanted to party lowcountry style which meant a lowcountry boil was in order! What's that you say? Only a delicious mix of shrimp, corn, potatoes, and sausage.
Living in Charleston means you go straight to Shem Creek for your shrimp. It's not shrimpin' season yet but it's getting close!
Here's the finished product.
We have plenty of leftovers so I think some shrimp and grits will be in order for dinner tonight!
I of course was having too much fun entertaining at the party to take pictures (I really need to get better at that) but I did get this one of everyone watching the last few minutes of the Florida game.
Having 30+ people in your house can be somewhat daunting but it went so well & we already can't wait to have another one! We're thinking brunch next time. I promise to take more pictures!
Hope you had a wonderful weekend!
xoxo
