home is what you make it.

I have never been so {happily} exhausted! Guy and I spent the entire weekend moving into our new home. We slept in it for the first time Saturday night and beyond our sweet Gus being scared out of his tiny mind... all went well!
Here are a few photos I snapped from our packed weekend.

The start of one huge mess! Guy and I both told each other we didn't have much and moving would be a cinch. We had WAY more than expected. It's been fun purging over the weekend but word to the wise - you always have more than you think!

A girl has got to have her moving priorities right?! I can happily say my clothes and jewelry safely made it to their new home.

Our first meal in the house; chinese take out but of course!

Sweet friends & family stopped in throughout the weekend and brought us plants, flowers, food, and cards. Thank you!

Even though our weekend wasn't relaxing in the least, we had a wonderful weekend.
 Hope you did too!
xoxo

ahh so exciting! and isn't in crazy how much "stuff" we actually have when it comes time to move. i was shocked when i moved out of my room in sf how many boxes i had. good luck with the rest of the unpacking!

I have a love/hate relationship with moving. I absolutely love to purge and organize... but the older I get the more tiring it seems to be to physically move all the boxes.
Glad you're starting to settle in... and poor Gussie. He will adjust quickly. I remember moving the kitties into my first house. They were petrified for a few days but then found favorite windows to watch birdies out of and were nothing but happy.
Wish I was closer- I would love to bring by a house warming gooodie. Once the little Miss arrives, I will try to get something in the mail.
