DIY: no sew pillow

In continuing to fix up my new home this past weekend, I knew I wanted an easy and affordable way to add some more color to my family room. I purchased the area rug of my dreams and wanted to incorporate it's coloring into our beige loveseat.

{my newest and most favorite home addition}

I had seen this tutorial on Centsational Girl's blog and immediately knew I had to try it. To my delight, it was easy as pie!
Check out Kate's step by step instructions for more detail but all you need are 2 cloth napkins, an iron, scissors, and iron on adhesive.
Ten minutes after starting voila!

Instant color, reuses an old pillow that I no longer loved, and took no time at all!
Total cost: $2.75.
I'll be making more very soon!

That looks beautiful. I'm a hoarder of fabric, so often change my pillows and seat covers in my home - it's an inexpensive fix to brighten up a room and saves money so you can splurge on other great stuff like beautiful rugs! I love what you've done with your home.

Your rug is sensational... and pretty impressed with those pillows. It almost seems too good to be true that they were that easy and inexpensive! Wow!
Some day when I have some down time (sooooo... when Quinn starts school) maybe I will try a few :)

so easy! might be a cheap way to get the ikat fix for me, just buy a couple of napkins instead of a $60 pillow.

and btw, that rug is BEAUTIFUL!

i tried this same DIY, but didn't have as good of luck. when I was putting the pillow in, the seams ripped open on one side. oh well, for less than $3 a pillow, you can afford to mess up!! :) your pillow looks great though!
