a diy for the new year.

I'm already thinking of the projects I want to take on next year once the hustle and bustle of the holiday season passes and a new year begins. I knew immediately when I saw these chairs on Anthropologie that I wanted to do a DIY around this. First, they're uber expensive at $122 (on sale even!) and secondly I see chairs like this all the time at thrift stores.
What a difference a little paint and fabric could make?!

I'm always looking for alternative seating, especially when we have family and friends over, and these would fit the bill nicely! We can tuck them away when needed but have them available when necessary.
Any DIY's on the horizon for you?

I am a combination of too lazy/busy/tired to take on any projects. However, luckily for me, I have a mother-in-law who LOVES projects. Currently, she is working on reupholstering a $5 rocking chair she snagged for us at a thrift store in the north woods. So I DIY through her... that counts right?? ;)
