sunday funday!

Hi Friends! Hope y'all had an amazing weekend! Guy's and my weekend didn't start the way we wanted but ended better than expected. We had one of those Saturdays where nothing went right so we decided to start our Sunday off the best way we know how. Brunch.
We decided on Virginia's on King since we hadn't been there in close to a year. We weren't disappointed.
{quintessential Charleston with the exposed brick and perfect location on King Street}

{fried okra to start, breakfast for me and shrimp & grits for G}

Surprisingly, Virginia's doesn't serve alcohol on Sunday's. Something about the church across the street and the owner being Southern & against it. Welcome to the South! But honestly, you can't have brunch without a bloody or mimosa so we knew we needed to move on to complete our task.
We knew just where to go. Taco Boy.

{one of the coolest interiors}

We wrapped up our afternoon on Shem Creek for some fresh, local caught fish for dinner and took a moment to take in the view. It's days like this where I realize just how amazing Charleston is and how I lucky I am.

Hope everyone is having a great start to their week!

Amazing! I heart Charleston as well! I can't believe that Virginia's doesn't serve booze on Sundays?? Especially in Charleston?
I bet they lose a lot of tourist biz on Sundays b/c of that.
Also, love how you take pictures of your food too :)
And.. cute picture of you and the hubs.

Burnch always makes things better, in my opinion. Way to top it off with mimosas! I've been to Charleston once and loved it...maybe Matt and I will visit together someday! :)
