valentine fondue night a success!

Our Valentine fondue night is officially a success. While we do this every year, we don't always hit the right note between types of cheese, amount of cheese, and amount of wine. We nailed it tonight.
Go us!
(For those of you wondering.... swiss and gruyere work best.... with just a splash of white wine)

{getting melty....}

{our perfect mix of veggies}
{also condusive to meatless monday! our second week!}

The success of fondue night was also directly related to the following two factors:

{beautiful flowers from Guy}

{my sweet gus}

 And you're probably wondering why the hell I'm blogging ON Valentine's night.
That would be because Guy is watching House.
He can consider this my Valentine gift to him.
He's usually forced to give up the TV for The Bachelorette....

Hope ya'll are enjoying your Valentine evening!
Stay tuned tomorrow for what I whipped up as a Valentine treat!
xoxo

I might just have to buy a fondue set. I don't have one and not sure where in the hells bells I would store it but it just sounds fun and yummy!

look at us on different coasts doing the same thing! ;)

we use the same cheese and like 2/3 cup white white, a squeeze of lemon juice and before we do anything, we cut a garlic clove in half and rub it all on the inside of the fondue pot! we also add 1 TB cornstarch once it starts bubbling.

HOUSE!! My favorite! I am a season behind because I'm never home to watch... but someday I will catch up.

And I love this tradition. Cheese. How can one ever go wrong??
