las vegas looksthe way you'd imagine heaven must look at night.

Guess where I'll be in 24 hours????

Guy and I decided to take one last weekend trip and Vegas was the easy choice. I've never been, Guy loves, and Dave & Tim are playing an acoustic show there Saturday night!!

I've been playing blackjack online in preparation. I want to come home a winner... and by winner I mean not losing all my money. Even if I come home even... I'll consider myself a big winner!

So my question to you..... what should I not miss while in Vegas?? Do you have a favorite lunch or dinner spot? A 'can't miss' show? I'll take any and all recommendations!

Hope you all have a great weekend. Hopefully I'll have some fun (and I'm sure funny) stories when I return.

if you love mexican, you should def hit up the "Border Grill" in the Mandalay. I had an awesome watermelon mojito and the food is light, modern, and delicious!!!

I love that you are playing games online in preparation. Very good idea:) The Cirque Du Soleil shows are always amazing and I would highly recommend any of them there...except for maybe the Criss Angel, but that is not a personal opinion, more based off of feedback I've read. And of course you have to head over the to Bellagio to check out EVERYTHING they have there.

I lived in Vegas for almost 3-years and some of my fav spots are:
* Hard Rock Center Bar and The Pink Taco restaurant in the Hard Rock.
* Piano bar with veranda in Bellagio.Great spot to watch the water show with a cocktail in hand.

I've never been to Vegas either, but the one thing I really want to do when I go is to get tickets to Criss Angel's "Believe" show. I don't care how much they cost; I think he is so unique and amazing.

Ok, and I'd always watch the fountain show in front of the Bellagio. :)

Have so much fun! I can't wait to read all about it when you get back and see your fun pictures.

oh, you will have such a blast!

i'd say stick to a small budget when gambling, and don't go beyond. it is easy to get carried away, so i pretty much skip the gambling altogether except playing a tiny bit 'o slots!

hope you have fun, and i hear the shopping is SUPERB!

Tao to see and be seen - dinner
Tryst at the Wynn - nightclub
Bellagio Fountain show
Pink Taco at Hard Rock is good, but you might have to cab it to Hard Rock and don't know that is worth it.
Treasure Island Pirate show over the bridge if your walking and killing time-free
Take a tour/car to the Hoover Dam, or you can take a heli tour

You should play blackjack at the Golden Nugget on Fremont St. I played there on my 21st birthday and put in $20 and walked away with $300. That was pretty exciting! I've never been able to repeat that, though...

Other places:
The Peppermill Fireside Lounge - romantic and cheesy, very old school Vegas

Ellis Island Casino - $6.95 steak dinner with mashed potatoes and green beans, seriously it sounds crazy, but it's better than the 5 star steakhouses in Vegas

Have fun!

hope you're having a blast in Vegas!! (or had fun? if you aren't there anymore!)

to answer your question... i put the pictures together in Picasa and then opened it in Paint to add numbers. Nothing fancy. (:
