tis the season.... already?

As you've probably seen and/or heard - the red cup is out.
At first I was in shock. It's only November! But then I looked around and realized Christmas is everywhere... in the stores, in the ads, in our stores. Why not the red cup?
And then I was browsing magazines in the hospital and saw holiday decorating ideas. This made me very very happy. I love decorating for Christmas and I found the prettiest holiday decor!
Here's what I found in Family Circle:

{love this look - I think I could make one or two and save some money}

{love everything about this! I'm already on the hunt for milkglass vases via ebay}

{already have the cake stand and silver leaves... I can complete this look with a few snips of the Christmas tree!}

{magnolia leaves... perfectly southern and luckily right in my parents front yard!}

{such a lovely dinner party setting}

So tell me - how do you decorate for the holidays? Are you a red/green person or do you incorporate more color?
xoxo

I would prefer reds and greens. Actually, I would prefer nothing but twinkle lights and candles. :)
Those wreaths are lovely.

This morning I had an urge to start decorating for Christmas when I got home... but figured I would at least wait until the 2nd or 3rd week in Nov.

I am beyond giddy that the Christmas season has begun. When I went to starbucks yesterday I had my first egg nog latte of the year, and I am happy as can be!

My mom used to spray paint Magnolia leaves gold and silver and put them in the Christmas tree and use them for decorating too. They are great, hold their shape, and free! :) I LOVE Christmas!

I LOVE decorating for Christmas. When I had my house, I put pine boughs all around my staircase and garlands everywhere, and of course I have a million Xmas scented Yankee Candles... and the kitties and I have our stockings that we hang. Love this time of year.

And for the record... Fazolis ALWAYS, to this day, makes me think of you, and how we used to load up on carbs there before the blood drives at school.

totally not a red and green kinda decor. lots of silver, mercury glass and glittered items. white lights are also a must. CANNOT WAIT!

I LOVE decorating for Christmas. I would start now if I could. I actually aleardy bought a tree today (fake) and was told by the Target lady that it was the first one bought this season. Not sure what to think about that... I do stick to certain colors, mainly that iridescent glittery color and white. Love the ideas that you posted above, I am thinking about doing the wreath thing...

the green is really fresh and pretty! and not too overdone looking! i guess maybe the red can be a bit busy for some? lol. i think the mags and stores give us new ideas and new looks to try out so that we buy new stuff every year & keep the retail shops in business!
