philantrophy is beautiful.

If money was no object, I'd wear all of Joan Hornig's creations.
Why you ask? The reason is two fold:
1. She makes amazing jewelry.
2. She donates 100% of the profits to charity. (a charity of your choosing! brills!)
Exhibit A
$3,800

Exhibit B
$1,525

For those of us without dough but still want to help... she's recently created the Oil Drop Necklace. Joan was inspired to help the Gulf Coast and made this beautiful and affordable necklace. It's priced at $50.40 which represents the site of the leak: 5,000 feet below the surface and 40 miles offshore.
I think Bumpkin would have loved.  :)
