its not everyday you can say you were chased by four cocks.

Yup, you read that title right. This July 4th I was chased by four large roosters... or chickens... or some combination of the two at my favorite farmer's market.
At first it was just one... and I thought he was kind of cute.. but he got aggressive and I started to get the feeling he didn't want to be friends.
And then before I know it, he's compiled three of his friends and they're cornering me by the blueberries.
{notice how the pictures are blurry... that's because I was backwards running and snapping pictures!}
Finally I was rescued by a market worker, who I think said 'silly girl' in Spanish as he was shooing the chickens away.
Beyond 'the incident' it was a great day at the market!

{John's Island, S.C.}
{the World's best tomatoes. Seriously}
{I'll take two of each please.}
{some of the most gorgeous flowers you'll see all summer}
{I imagine my wedding bouquets to reflect these wildflower bouquets}

Hope everyone's week is going well!

When I was 6 years old, a GOOSE bit me on the cheek. HARD. And I've snarled at geese ever since! Glad you escaped from those aggressive cocks. ;)

OK, next time you have a title like that you gotta warn a girl first! I about choked on a beet and spit out some's lunch is a completely home grown salad, the last one until my second planting is ready to harvest.

Thanks for the laugh!!
