memorial weekend recap.

Whew! What a busy yet fun weekend! Guy & I didn't stop moving but are so glad we were as busy as we were.
Friday night: Maggie & John's Going Away Party
Two of my favorite people are leaving Charleston and moving to Lexington, KY and I can not express how much I will miss them. If I do, I'll get sad and ramble on for sentences about how much I love these two. I'll spare you. :)
{some of my favorite women!}
{John & I}
Saturday: Guy & I spent the day on Seabrook Island with his family and then made a great dinner at home. We were exhausted from being in the sun all day and didn't want to go out for dinner so Guy made an amazing steak & crabcake dinner for us.
Sunday:  Another day in the sun... this time at the pool, and then spent the evening on Isle of Palms. We had dinner with my parents at Huck's and then hit a local music venue after dropping my parents off. Guy's best friend from college was opening for Big Head Todd & the Monsters so we went to support him and his band.
{The Bushels'}
Monday: Honestly, Guy & I spent the majority of the day sleeping but rallied around 3p to head back out to the beach to have a lowcountry boil with friends.
{Les, Mags & I on Isle of Palms}
{the men watching the bikini contest next door!}
{the unbelieveably good lowcountry boil}

So here I am, Tuesday morning, and exhausted but happy from my holiday weekend. What did you do? Anything exciting?
I'm off to D.C. for the next two days - I'll be catching up on your blogs this evening!
xoxo

Dang ladycakes, you were busy! I didnt do much just the usual...eat, drink, sleep. I did see satc 2 and went to a small bbq but that's really about it.

Btw the picture of all the guys staring at the bikini contest is too funny. Why was there a bikini contest next door??

Have a blast in DC! Hit up my favorite shop Secondi in Dupont if you have a chance. It's an amazing designer consigment shop! Oh and the News Cafe in Georgetown has an incredible brunch!

Nothing THAT exciting - zoo, farmer's market, quick trip to cub foods and target. OH and swimming lessons and a splash at the Y.

I love that picture of the watermelon! I'm not sure how I feel about the guys on the Bachelorette this time. I kind of like finding out the quirky little things that make them who they are. I haven't written any of them off yet (except Craig M., so glad he's gone), but I kinda like Kirk and Roberto so far. xox

What a fun weekend! PS, where did you get that fantastic belt in the first two photos? I LOVE it, would love to hear where you found that gem!

Sounds like you had an awesome summer kick-off weekend! I have to admit I'm jealous. I didn't go to a single celebration. I spent the entire weekend doing yard work. We only left the house to go to Home Depot and to see a movie. At least we were really productive, and the yard is actually starting to look better; I'm envisioning that day when I can lay in our lush grass and just daydream. :-)
