it's a derby party ya'll!

Monday already? Seriously. Where did this weekend go? We had a busy but fun weekend because it was Guy's 29th birthday on Saturday! We did dinner at his family's Friday night, spent Saturday bike riding, watching tennis, going to a Derby party, and then a night out downtown.
{I'm seriously pasty. I need to take care of that asap. To the beach I go!}

{Cornhole, a game of which I have no skill}

{Our hosts - Jeff & Leslie}

{I hate that this is blurry! Would have been a great group shot}
{Watching the race! We all had bet on two horses so we were real into it!}
{I think this may have been when Super Saver took the lead}
Did you watch the race? So much build up... such a short race. Stil so fun though!
My brother, sister in law, and their two kids are in town for the next two weeks (yeah!) so I'm going to be in and out of the blogosphere. Hope everyone enjoys their Monday!
xoxo

Aw, your Derby party looked like so much fun! Your friends have an awesome backyard! And I heart cornhole... we play it at all our summer BBQ's.

You looked beautiful - love the dress.

Happy 29th birthday to Guy!

A Derby party is such a fab idea. Any excuse to wear a killer hat right?

Didn't watch the race at all, but I went to a Derby party on Saturday too! Complete with alcoholic Arnold Palmers, Mint Juleps, and cucumber sandwiches. So fun!

A Derby party??? Why the heck didn't I think of that? And the big hats?... so much fun! Next year it'll be a Derby party at my house, you're welcome to come Dear!

Was studying... so didn't get to watch. BUT, my friends and I have determined that once we all graduate and have money that is not lent to us from the government, we are going to Kentucky to watch the Derby with our own eyes. And of course, we will wear fabulous hats!

Thank You for your sweet comment.
The headlines this morning were 25 dead turtles, No indication oil was the cause of their death.
Sure, what a coincendence.
It frustrates us that they really think they fool you with these antics.
Many, many, dolphins yesterday and this morning, have moved closed to the shore. More than we have ever seen in our area. Winds from the North now, is also good news. We can hold on to swim, swim, swim fly, fly, as hope. Seems they are dodging it a bit.
Such a shame the Kemp Ridley turtles, but we had expected a larger number, so we remain positive.

Chandeleur Islands and Refuge is completely covered in oil, breaks my heart some of the best fishing in the world out there. Our little secret that we hid for so long from only the smartest of the casters.

Love Derby parties, we skipped this year, due to our current circumstances. Go Calvin!
