{heh heh... sad but true}
Happy Earth Day!
Did you know it's the 40th anniversary of Earth Day?
I'm a bit of a granola crunchy kind of gal at heart so I love me some Earth Day. Any day that reminds people to make more conscious decisions is A okay with me!
So tell me friends, how green are you?
I'm the annoying kind.
I insist people recycle. Like pull their soda can out of the waste basket at work and make a point to recycle it.
I picked up my parents recycling from their house for a good 8 months because they couldn't get recycling in their neighborhood. My neighbors must have thought I was a milk and soda addict based on my overflowing recycling bin week after week.
Every Earth Day I make a pledge to change one thing in my life that benefits our planet. Last year I gave up my daily Starbucks... both to help reduce my trash consumption and to help my check book. This year I pledge to use reusable bags while shopping. Guy and I always do at the grocery store but I rarely remember when I actually shop.
First step, buy one or two cute reuseable bags! :)

Happy Earth Day! I am constantly trying to find new ways to do my part as well. Next on my list is to start a compost!
whoa...i thought i was a recycling nut but you got me beat. haha.
happy earth day EVERY DAY!!!
I unplug everything... reusable bottles/bags, recycle, use green cleaning products.... Love Earth Day.
We don't have recycling in my area!! My in-laws do.. so maybe I should start dumping it at their house?!!? I like the reusable bag idea.. I could get into that!
Happy Earth Day!! That's awesome that you make an effort like that, our complex doesn't currently have a recycling program but they are working on it so hopefully we will be recycling soon!
Cute cartoon! I have been trying to be better about using re-usable cloth grocery bags :)
oh man...i need to be better about being green! i was a greenie when we live in washington state but i've gotten so out of it since movie to the very ungreen town i live in...you've inspired me to change my ways!! this weekend i will make a point of getting a "green" trash bin for my garage and if my town won't change at least i can!!! thanks lady!
I try to be as green as possible. I tried to get my job to recycle but they are stubborn. I will use the lil cloth bags at the super market & today I was going to get coffee but I didn't because I think the world could use one less styrofoam cup in the trash! Also I eat Sunchips. The decomposable bag is loud as hell but its healthy. =) happy Earth Day!
Oh & the cartoon is priceless!!
Yay! Happy earth day! I ride the bus everyday to work - one less car on the road!
Not just CUTE reusable bags. This is my MISSION like your recycling one.
GET ENVIROSAX - if you carry a purse these are idiot proof. Get TWO sets so you can wash one or use both sets on a big shopping day - think Mall-Target-Groceries - all in one day.
They roll up and fit in your purse. I have now used mine for nearly two years. I never ever ever take a bag.
And I reduced my coffee trips too - and found ANOTHER way to reduce my trash. Reusable coffee cup sleeves! Caribou Coffee online sells them.
I never carry a reusable mug when I actually am out and WANT a coffee this helps me feel better.
I am not paid by Envirosax...I just love them.
Happy Earth day to you too! Way to go with all of your effors, you rock :-) I love that cartoon! Too funny!
The one thing I've yet to embrace is composting . . . we do it at my high school (where I teach), but I'm scared to do it at home for fear of bugs! Maybe my pledge will be to try to overcome that fear. :)
My kinda girl, I have bought the sacks, I think I must have 50, but remembering to put them in the truck when shopping, is a whole other dilemma, I promise to do better, I promise!
well i don't own a car. and i really really try to take my reusable bags to the grocery store
I just started using re-usable grocery bags, but I also need to remember to bring them to other stores with me. Good thinking!
I was also telecommuting, but my company has all but nixed that for me, which means I'm back to driving at least 80 miles a day. :-( Boo.
I'm on it with the bags but I could give up the 'bucks...I say this while shuddering at the thought. I sure love my skinny vanilla lattes. Ah ha ha
I need to be better about being green. Happy belated Earth Day!
I'm obsessed with Envirosax too! We have three sets: one stays in my husband's car, one stays in my car, and one in the house in case we need to double up. I love them and always get comments on how cute they are. Here's a link:

I have the planet green and botanical sets. I highly recommend!
