a collection.

Do you collect anything? When I was little I collected everything. Thimbles, silver spoons, postcards, etc. Basically if I had two of something I thought I needed to start a collection.
While I've simmered a bit, I do have a lingering need to collect.
My longest lasting collection:
CAMERAS.
{my original love. Pentax SLR. Film. I got her my freshman year and captured many a memory}

{my "I got my first job and am in the real world" present to myself. Still use it to this day}

{dear sweet polaroid. how i love thee. i love thee enough to have two.}

{my Diana. a current form of frustration. i haven't had great success with her yet. sigh}

{the newest member. my Nikon digital SLR. a present to myself with my tax refund.}
Just looking at these beauties makes me happy.
Wishing you all an amazing weekend filled with sunshine and happiness. And maybe a new collection.
xoxo

FUN! Your new camera is simply gorgeous ;-) I want an SLR so bad. When I was younger I announced to my huge extended family that I wanted to start collecting nutcrackers, so I have at least 100 at home and I STILL get them once in a while as presents :-)

You've always been so good behind a camera.

Collections? Pretty much no. My OCD prevents me from keeping anything too long. I toss EVERYTHING. But I suppose I collect shoes... ? Does that count?

This made me think of some collections I had, though, back in the day.
1. Garbage Pail Kids (ha hahaha... remember those??)
2. Baseball cards (the eternal tomboy in me)
3. Stamps (pretty sure almost everyone went through this phase, even if just briefly)
4. Tiny porcelain figurines (ugh... my mother got me going on this one)
5. VHS tapes (yup... bought them in bulk)

Happy Friday my friend!

Really cool. I am not much of a collector...

sometimes that makes me feel left out, but I get over it.

I do have a lot of shoes...

what a great collection you have, I need a new camera. I don't have a good one so I've been using my camera phone lately, yeah, not working out so well which is why my blog posts lacks personal pictures! :)

All of a sudden, I'm feeling very photo inadequate! LOL... That compact Canon you have? Yeah, that's my ONLY camera... :-/

I really really really wanted the Diane camera, but am not the best photographer, you make me feel better for not buying by saying you are struggling with her.... ahh, sigh.
