recent reads.

It's that time again! Every so often I post what books I've been reading just in case one of my readers is looking for a new read or even a gift for a loved one. Plus I like to hear what books you've recently read so I can take your recommendations!

I'm probably the last person on Earth who hadn't read The Time Traveler's Wife but I recently finished it and it was as amazing as everyone had said. If you haven't read it yet - definitely do. It's a well written love story that is really powerful and moving.

I read Jen Lancaster's Pretty in Plaid while in the Dominican. She's one of my favorite authors and all of her books are hilarious. I'm talking laughing out loud on every page funny. I got many glances (mostly from Guy!) while reading this on the beach because I was laughing so hard. She has four books, all true accounts of her hilarious life. Definitely check her out if you haven't already. Oh yeah, and she has a blog too!

The second book I read on vacation was Kate Jacobs 'Comfort Food.' I was first introduced to her a year ago with her first novel Friday Night Knitting Club. Really good btw. Comfort Food was equally as good. For any of you ladies that watch Food Network and love Ina Garten or Giada.... you'll love this book. It's about a food network host and what it means to stay relevant in that world.

What have you read recently??

I haven't read recently, but I've definitely added some books to my Christmas wish list this year. I hope that I get most of them so that I can snuggle up with a good book. Thanks for sharing!

I'm hoping to get the Twilight Series for xmas now that I've seen the first two movies I want to read the books.
