pad see ew

While I'm having fun with family, I thought I'd leave with you a delicious recipe for your weekend. Guy surprised me Wednesday night and made my favorite dish from a Thai restaurant - Pad See Ew.
It. Was. Amazing.

Prep Time: 20 minutes
Cook Time: 12 minutes

Ingredients
2 lbs rice noodles
1 egg
1-2 heads of broccoli
3 cloves of garlic
1 sirloin beef steak, thinly sliced into strips
2 Tbsp. oil, plus 1/4 cup chicken or beef broth for stir frying
MARINADE:
1 Tbsp oyster sauce
1 Tbsp soy sauce
1 heaping tsp. brown sugar
STIR FRY SAUCE:
1 Tbsp. dark soy sauce
2 Tbsp. regular soy sauce
2 tsp brown sugar
1/2 tsp pepper

Preparation:
1. Stir together the simple marinade. Pour over strips of beef and mix well. Set aside to marinate while you prepare other ingredients
2. Stir all the stir fry sauce ingredients together in a cup and set near stove
3. Place a wok or large frying pan over medium-high heat. Add 2 Tbsp. oil and swirl around.
4. Add the garlic and briefly stir fry until fragant (30 seconds)
5. Add the beef (along with the marinade), and stir fry 2 minutes. Add broth whenever your pan becomes dry
6. Add the broccoli and continue stir frying in the same way for 1 more minute.
7. Push ingredients aside and break the egg into the center of the pan. Quickly stir fry to cook the egg
8. Add the noodles and pour the stir fry sauce over. Gently mix. When the noodles are soft, remove from heat. Salt to taste. ENJOY!

Sooooo... does he have a single brother, who can cook like he does? And if not, how about you just send him on up to Wisconsin for a while to feed me. Thanks.
