thursday cuteness!

Happy Thursday Friends! Margo and I volunteered last night and there were lots of pups that needed their Glamourshots taken. Unfortuantely because of time we had to take the majority of them behind their cages. Jake was the "Dog of the Day" so he got the best shot! Volunteering at the Charleston Animal Society is so rewarding but it's getting hard because you see more and more dogs coming to the shelter because their families can no longer afford them. Really sad.
Go home tonight and hug your furry family member extra tight and remind them how lucky they are!

these posts always put a smile on my face which is soon followed by held back tears. i hate that so many dogs are in the shelter and i pray that they ALL find homes (is that asking too much, GOD?).

My heart breaks when I see these poor animals. I couldn't volunteer because i would literally take all of them home with me. So damn adorable!

That is so great of you to volunteer. My pup is a shelter dog, and I'm so greatful to have him. I would love to volunteer at the shelter, but I'm so afraid that I'd get too attached to all the buddies I wouldn't be able to take home with me.

As SOON as I am done with school and have time (and my dream of having time when I graduate is probably unrealstic... but I will keep thinking positive) I am volunteering at an animal shelter. I don't remember... did little Gussie come from a shelter?? I know both my furballs did and as long as I have pets, they will come from shelters.... I love you for spending your time with these furry friends...

I reminded my cat of that this morning when she hissed at me. Hissed at me! She has never done that before.
They are precious...
