as if we didn't already know

Charleston was picked as the fourth best city in North America by Travel & Leisure. Only New York City (obviously), San Francisco (understandably), and Quebec (need more information on this to concur) beat out my lovely city.
To celebrate, here are some snapshots I took around downtown. If you haven't been, you need to come. Charleston has so much history and really is one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen. I remind myself how lucky I am on a daily basis...

This last picture isn't from downtown but it's one of my favorite places, Shem Creek. It's magical. Imagine sitting on the deck, drinking a Corona Light, & seeing dolphins swim next to a passing shrimp boat with seagulls and pelicans swarming to get a chance at the leftover shrimp.

Home Sweet Home.
